Perks From General Care At Three Rivers Dental

At Three Rivers Dental, we believe that great dental care starts with great relationships. We take the time to truly know our patients, understanding their needs, concerns, and goals so that we can provide care that feels both personal and effective.

Dr. Evon and our dental team aspire to create a standard of care that differentiates our office from other offices out there. Outside of the services offered, here are some considerable benefits that come from an individualized, modern approach to dental care.

While we specialize in restoring smiles, our primary goal is to keep your teeth and gums healthy so you need less dental work over time. We use advanced diagnostic tools, patient education, and customized prevention plans to help you maintain your oral health between visits. From professional cleanings to personalized at-home care recommendations, we strive to keep you out of our office as much as possible—because the best dental treatment is the one you never need.

Using a green, yellow, and red system, we assess your oral health and guide treatment decisions:

  • Green – Your oral health is stable, requiring only routine preventive care.
  • Yellow – Some concerns need monitoring or early intervention to prevent future issues.
  • Red – Immediate treatment is necessary to stop disease progression or repair damage.

Our goal is always to move toward green, ensuring every treatment supports long-term oral health without creating new risks.

By combining risk-based treatment planning and a strong focus on prevention, Three Rivers Dental ensures that your care is thorough, strategic, and built to last. Schedule a consultation today to take control of your oral health with a smarter, more proactive approach to dentistry.

Many people complain that their teeth are sensitive to hot and cold beverages, cool air, or average brushing habits. Over time, tooth enamel can be worn away or gums can recede, exposing the root surface and leading to sensitivity. This exposed layer of tooth structure contains tubules (microscopic passageways) that connect to the nerve endings within the tooth.

If you are experiencing sensitive teeth, there may be an underlying issue happening in your mouth. If over-the-counter sensitivity toothpastes are ineffective, we have several non-invasive solutions performed in our office. A service as simple as a tooth cleaning or learning about the right type of toothpaste can help our patients eliminate tooth sensitivity for good.

Dental cleanings are no substitute for brushing and flossing, but they can prevent gum disease and may even stop early stages of decay from becoming full-blown cavities. Decay often happens on the chewing surface of the back teeth. Dental cleanings are a way of adding extra protection to this surface from cavities and supplementing the work you do at home.

Give yourself greater accountability with the help of advanced dental professionals who can easily work with your schedule. We encourage you to bring the whole family to your appointment, as we can perform services for multiple patients at once. In addition to this, we also offer same-day help for patients who are dealing with dental emergencies.

Keeping your gums and teeth healthy starts with a whole-mouth approach, not just cleaning the teeth. At Three Rivers Dental, we use Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) to remove harmful biofilm—the bacteria responsible for cavities and gum disease—for a more thorough and effective clean.

GBT offers several benefits, including:

  • Comprehensive Cleaning: Unlike traditional methods, GBT cleans the teeth, gums, and soft tissues, reaching areas that are often missed.
  • Gentle & Comfortable: The process is minimally invasive, using air polishing and warm water instead of scraping, making it ideal for patients with sensitive gums.
  • Healthier, Longer-Lasting Results: By eliminating harmful biofilm, GBT helps prevent cavities, gum disease, and inflammation, keeping your mouth healthier between visits.

Protect Your Child’s Smile With Dental Sealants

Sealants are a thin, protective coating (made from plastic or other dental materials) that adheres to the chewing surface of your back teeth, it is bonded in these deep grooves and cured. These sealants are typically placed on children to help maintain their overall development.

Dental sealants are placed in deep grooves and depressions on the chewing surfaces of their back adult teeth. These areas are hard to clean and prone to tooth decay.

Sealants typically last for several years. They will need to be evaluated at regular dental checkups for any signs of breakdown to reduce the possibility of damage.

A Young Patient’s Experience

Our 7-year-old patient came in with hypoplastic enamel that was not allowing her tooth to develop properly. It was making her conscious of her smile, especially with the kids in school. Her two front teeth were yellow and pitted.

Dr. Evon Heaser was able to give her some confidence back and make her teeth look like they belonged. Over time as the tooth develops and continues to erupt, Dr. Evon will continue to add filling material until the patient develops and is able to accept a more permanent solution. The patient is much happier with the appearance and look of her teeth!
